Barnett Hill is a beautiful Queen Anne mansion surrounded by breathtaking gardens and grounds just outside Guildford. You will spend your day in the stunning drawing room, life drawing from the model. Beginners welcome. Tuition is part of the day.
Lunch is included and there will also be morning and afternoon breaks for coffee and tea. If you would like to stay over at the hotel they will give preferential rates to any artists attending the course. www.sundialvenues.com. There is plenty of parking close to the hotel entrance.

Itinerary

We will begin the day with a ‘warm up’ period allowing exploration of various drawing media. During the morning the poses will get longer and then after lunch one pose will be created for the duration of the afternoon. At the beginning of the day I will give tuition to the whole group relative to the process of Life Drawing and specifically about proportion etc. I will of course also be on hand during the rest of the day to give 1-1 help and discussion if required.

Please bring

Easel, drawing media selection (Charcoal, pencils, graphite sticks, pastels etc), paper or a sketchbook. Chairs and drawing boards will be available, if required. I will also bring some larger paper and a selection of drawing media that you might want to try.
